A foreigner drawing graffiti on the walls of the Nizami Cinema Center was arrested

The person who drew graffiti on the walls of the Nizami Cinema Center has been arrested.

Medianews.az Reports, citing APA, that a decision has been made at the Nasimi District Court regarding this matter.

According to the decision, the investigation agency's request was granted, and a 4-month pre-trial detention was imposed on Ardeshir Seyfpour Saad Abadi, a 20-year-old Belarusian citizen and student at ADA University.

It should be noted that on the night from April 1 to 2, the building of the Nizami Cinema Center, a nationally significant architectural monument (inventory number 123) located at 20 Bulbul Avenue in Baku city, was vandalized by unknown person or persons. These individuals scribbled graffiti on the facade of the building using paint and wrote various words and expressions. Following the operation, four people were detained: Munavar Taleh gizi Barkhudaeva, an 11th-grade student of “Landau School,” born in Baku in 2010; Layla Samir gizi Muradi, a 10th-grade student of “Landau School,” born in Baku in 2010; Shafiqa Farid gizi Qarashli, a 9th-grade student of School No. 10; and Ardeshir Seyfpour Saad Abadi, a Belarusian citizen born in Iran in 2006, living in Azerbaijan since September 1, 2024, and a second-year student at ADA University.
