Oil will fall below 60 dollars – U.S. Department of Energy

The U.S. Department of Energy has raised its forecast for the average price of Brent crude oil in 2025. According to Musavat.com, based on the report of the department's Energy Information Administration (EIA), the forecast has been increased by 0.86 percent, reaching $67.8 per barrel from $67.22.

At the same time, the department predicts that Brent quotations will fall from $68 in August to $59 in the fourth quarter of this year due to an increase in global reserves as OPEC+ "eight" increases oil production. According to the forecast of the U.S. Department of Energy, the price of Brent crude oil in 2026 will average $51.

According to experts from the U.S. Department of Energy, the lower oil prices at the beginning of 2026 will cause a reduction in supply from both OPEC+ countries and several other producers.
