According to Medianews.az, this is reflected in the Law on Amendments to the Labor Code approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
Previously, the minimum wage was considered a social norm established by legislation that determined the lowest level of monthly wage for unskilled labor and service.
According to the law, the minimum wage will be regarded as a social norm that determines the lowest level of monthly wage for unskilled labor and service in accordance with the needs of workers and their families, taking into account the requirements of economic development in the country, productivity, average monthly wage, purchasing power of the monetary unit, amount of social benefits, subsistence level of major social demographic groups, as well as increasing and maintaining employment levels.
