The Administrative Offenses Code provides for fines of varying amounts for violations of the rules of using the metro.

Medianews.az reports that individuals violating the rules may be fined from 20 to 200 manats depending on the nature of the administrative offense they committed.

According to the Code, throwing garbage in the vestibules, passages and platforms of stations, as well as onto escalators and into the cabins of wagons, writings on these objects , installation of signs restricting access and entrance to the station from places where these signs are installed, using the "passenger-driver" communication without necessity are subject to a fine of 200 manats .

Furthermore, individuals who throw any objects onto the railway are also fined 200 manats.

According to the rules, placing an object on the handrail of the escalator is punishable by a fine of 20 manats.

Removing the escalator handrail, using the "Stop" button unnecessarily, smoking in station vestibules, passages and platforms, as well as inside wagons, opening wagon doors during the train's movement, delaying the train's departure, unauthorized entry onto the railway, entry into the train control cabin, service-technical rooms, ventilation shaft kiosks, tunnels and fenced areas intended for metro workers, using open flame and pyrotechnic devices are subject to a fine of 50 manats.

Individuals who connect electrical devices to the metro's electrical network without proper authorization are fined 70 manats.

Also, setting any objects on fire within 25 meters or closer to the metro's ventilation shaft kiosks is punishable by a fine of 100 manats.
