Orange warning from meteorologists - This week the temperature will exceed 40 degrees.

France is preparing for an anomalous heatwave that could surpass the record levels recorded in the summer of 2003.

Medianews.az reports, citing the newspaper "El Mundo," that Sophie Voirin, director of France's National Meteorology Service, has made this statement.

According to meteorologists' forecasts, record-high temperatures may be observed in the country at the beginning of next week. Already this weekend, the orange alert level was declared in 60 departments of France, and temperatures have exceeded 40°C. This is 10-15°C higher than the norm characteristic for early summer.

Due to the anomalous heat, more than 70 train services have been canceled, classes have been suspended on Friday in more than 100 schools, and dozens of events planned to take place outdoors have been banned. In response to this situation, the Prime Minister of France has established an inter-ministerial crisis center to coordinate the activities of the ministries of health, interior affairs, transport, culture, and education./Publika.az
