Famous singer Ramazan was criticized for his post - VIDEO

Singer and UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund Child Rights Defender Hadise's donation video related to the month of Ramadan has sparked discussions in Turkey.

According to Medianews.az, the artist was criticized for mentioning Turkey in the same context as Gaza and Sudan in the video.

The video included the expressions "Let no child in the world be hungry this Ramadan. From Turkey to Gaza, from Sudan to the most remote villages of Africa..." Some social media users harshly criticized the post, stating that Turkey is a country that provides aid, not one that receives it.

Oktay Saral, chief advisor to the President of Turkey, called this approach "unacceptable" in his statement on the matter and emphasized that Turkey is a country that helps crisis regions.

After the criticism, Hadise, who issued a statement, said that she has been UNICEF's Child Rights Defender for Turkey since 2022 and has participated in various social projects related to children during this period. According to her, the Ramadan video was created based on the text provided by UNICEF, and the goal was to make a call for charity.

"I am a woman who loves this homeland. Turkey is a strong country and is always beside those in need. Our country supports those in need both internally and globally," the artist stated.

Hadise added that her aim is to call for support for children: "My wish is for all children to live safely and equally in a more just world."

Discussions continue on social media.
