The 45-year-old actor and producer Stuart MacLean, known for the popular Netflix series "Virgin River," was found dead in Canada.
Medianews.az reports that the actor, reported missing since May 15, was found dead in the Lions Bay area near Vancouver, in the province of British Columbia.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) announced that the missing person report concerning MacLean was registered on Monday. Following search operations and initial investigations at the scene, the case was handed over to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).
Based on evidence obtained at the scene, law enforcement authorities stated there are serious suspicions that MacLean may have been a victim of homicide. However, it was emphasized that the incident does not pose a general threat to public safety and is an isolated case.
Currently, within the scope of the investigation, the actor’s last movements before going missing, the persons he contacted, and meetings are being examined. Security camera footage from the area and witness statements are being collected.
It was reported that the cause of MacLean’s death will be determined after the forensic medical examination.
