Foodinfo.az reports that neurologist and expert at the "Gemotest" laboratory, Dr. Ekaterina Demyanovskaya, stated that meat, fish, and eggs are the main "building materials" for children's immunity.

The specialist noted that sufficient consumption of these products helps children's bodies to recover quickly after viral infections and to bear physical and mental burdens more easily.

Demyanovskaya added that complex carbohydrates such as buckwheat, oats, and whole wheat bread help maintain energy levels, preserve concentration, and increase work capacity.

She also emphasized that vegetables and fruits are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, promoting better absorption of other nutrients.

"Walking outdoors every day helps safely remove excess amounts of the stress hormone — cortisol — from the body," the doctor added.

The expert noted that balanced nutrition and an active lifestyle strengthen both children's immune systems and overall health.

The specialist also advises parents to include various types of meat, fish, and eggs in their children's diet several times a week.

Vegetables rich in vitamins and minerals are recommended to be served in different forms during the day — as salad, soup, or cooked.

Also, it is important for children to consume enough fluids to maintain water balance.
