Graduate school application acceptance STARTED

From January 14 to 26, applications for master's degree admission will be accepted.

Medianews.az reports that the State Examination Center (SEC) has released information on this matter.

It was noted that the acceptance of bachelor's applications to participate in the exam is carried out online.

"A bachelor, from January 14 to 26, 2026, after creating a 'Personal Cabinet' on the center's website ekabinet.dim.gov.az (those who do not have a 'Personal Cabinet'), adds the required amount (50 AZN) to the account in their 'Personal Cabinet' to submit an application.

Using the username and password of the bachelor's 'Personal Cabinet,' during the application acceptance period, they enter the relevant page of the center's website (https://eservices.dim.gov.az/erizemag/erize), fill out, and confirm the 'Bachelor's electronic application' form.

Bachelors who graduated from higher education institutions operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as bachelors who received higher education abroad and whose qualifications related to higher education are recognized by the Education Quality Assurance Agency of foreign countries, fill out and confirm the 'Bachelor's electronic application' on the Center's official website during the application acceptance period to participate in the admission exam.

The master's admission exam is conducted by the SEC in a centralized manner to assess bachelors' general intellectual level (logical thinking), informatics, and foreign language knowledge.

The admission exam (1st attempt) is scheduled to be held on February 15, 2026.

In the exam, bachelors will be given 50 test tasks for checking Logical Thinking (including 5 open-ended), 25 test tasks for Informatics (including 5 open-ended), and 20 test tasks for Foreign Language (including 2 open-ended) along with a writing task (essay) topic.

When calculating exam results, each test task answered correctly by the bachelor is scored with one point; incorrect answers do not affect the total score of correct answers; the essay is graded with a maximum of 5 points. Thus, the maximum score achievable in the exam is 100 points.

The time allotted for answering test tasks in the admission exam is three hours, and 30 minutes for completing the writing task (essay), totaling three hours and thirty minutes. After three hours, answer sheets are collected from bachelors, and they are distributed special essay papers to write the writing task. It should be noted that to select specializations taught in English (German), the result for the writing task (essay) must not be less than 2 points. There is no score limitation for the writing task (essay) result when selecting specializations taught in Azerbaijani or Russian.

The competition conditions and the full text of the admission announcement are published in the 2nd issue of the "Magistr" journal. The journal can be obtained from the main administrative building of the SEC (Baku city, Nasimi district, Academician Hasan Aliyev street, 299), "Abituriyent" sales point (Baku city, Nizami district, Davud Aslan street, 2A), as well as bookstores, and can be ordered on the www.abiturient.az website and the "Wolt" application," the information stated.
