Daniel Santos, the head coach of Luxembourg's women's national football team, has been dismissed from his position due to inappropriate messages.
This information was released by the press service of the Luxembourg Football Federation.
It was reported that the specialist is accused of sending inappropriate content messages to several players of the national team, and some players have complained about his behavior.
The federation's statement emphasized that such behavior contradicts ethical values and principles of mutual respect. As soon as the allegations became known, immediate measures were taken to protect the players and ensure the integrity of the sports environment. The collected evidence and the players' loss of confidence in the coach made future cooperation impossible.
The 44-year-old Santos had been the head coach of Luxembourg’s women's national team since August 2020. Under his leadership, the team was unable to qualify for either the World Cup or the European Championship./report.az
