The date for the selection of the new general director of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (ITV) has been announced.
Medianews.az, citing "Yeni Sabah," reports that the election will be held on May 25.
The new chairman will be determined by voting at the Broadcasting Council meeting.
The chairman of the Broadcasting Council of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company is academician Teymur Kerimli.
The council is represented by Hasan Jafarov, Azer Aliyev, Azer Hasrat, Vugar Zeynalov, Salman Musayev, Sevil Yusifova, Hacerkhanim Babayeva, and Rashad Rasullu. The new general director of ITV will be selected by the aforementioned individuals.
It should be noted that 11 candidates have submitted their documents to the Audiovisual Council for the position of general director of ITV. They are as follows:

2. Azimov Tural Gurbat oglu
3. Mammadzade Tural Sahib oglu
4. Ghulamov Arzu Aydin oglu
5. Bakhshiyeva Ilhame Rafiq qizi

8. Shahsuvarov Taleh Novruz oglu
9. Nagiyev Anar Alishah oglu
10. Aliyeva Ilahe Khudu qizi
11. Jafarov Ali Sucedin oglu
It should be noted that the general director is elected for a term of 4 years. Currently, the general director of the television channel is Balakishi Gasimov.
