The interim chargé d'affaires of Iran in France was summoned to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Tehran on July 19 in connection with the attack on two French diplomats working in Tehran.
Medianews.az reports that this information was released by the BFMTV television channel.
"He was informed that this attack is strongly condemned. France expects the Iranian authorities to clarify this incident, punish the perpetrators, and ensure the safety of its facilities and agents in accordance with international obligations," the report stated.
Earlier, France's Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian informed his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi about the incident.
