Iran has strongly responded to US President Donald Trump's plan within the framework of the "Freedom Act" for American warships to escort commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Medianews.az, Tehran stated that any foreign military force approaching the strait, including US warships, will be attacked.
Trump declared that the US Navy will ensure the safety of ships in the Strait of Hormuz. This plan is justified by the security risks in the region.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced it will support the operation. According to information, guided missile destroyers (mine countermeasure vessels), over 100 aerial vehicles, drones, and 15,000 soldiers will be involved in the process.
On the other hand, Iran emphasizes that control of the Strait of Hormuz is under its authority. The Iranian command states that ships must coordinate with Iranian forces to pass safely through the strait. Any attempt by foreign military forces to enter the strait will be met with an attack.
