In Iran, a protester pretended to be dead in the morgue for three days.

A man injured during the shooting of protests in Iran pretended to be dead for three days in the morgue.

Medianews.az reports that the information was released by the center documenting the human rights situation in Iran, headquartered in the USA (Iran Human Rights Documentation Center).

According to the information, the wounded protester who pretended to be dead lay motionless without food or water for three days under a plastic cover among the bodies at the morgue near Tehran – the Kahrizak forensic medical examination center.

Family members, thinking he was missing, spent those days searching hospitals as well as cemeteries. Finally, images of faces of the bodies in the morgue spread on social networks, and the family members learned that he was at the Kahrizak morgue. However, when the family came, it became clear that the man was not dead, that he had suffered a gunshot wound, and had deliberately pretended to be dead. The wounded protester was transferred to the hospital.

He said he pretended to be dead because he was afraid that security forces would kill him on the spot with the "last bullet."
