Congress on behalf of Iran WILL TESTIFY

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is preparing to answer legislators' questions about the country's ongoing military conflict with Iran.

Medianews.az reports that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Cane, will also participate in the hearings to be held in the House Armed Services Committee.

Since representatives from both parties have previously expressed dissatisfaction with the information presented in closed briefings, the meeting is expected to be quite tense. Although the agenda of the hearings is officially devoted to the Trump administration's budget request of 1.5 trillion dollars, the Democrats plan to take this opportunity to sharply criticize Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth. They accuse the secretary of starting a war without the official approval of Congress.

While Republicans have so far maintained their confidence in the leadership, they demand the conflict to end soon and transparency in the administration's activities. Ahead of the hearings, a group of Democratic congressmen demanded an investigation into the deaths of six soldiers in Kuwait, accusing Hegseth of misleading the public.//Musavat.com
