Amid ongoing confrontations with the US and Israel, Iran has launched a new drone – the "Hadid-110".
Medianews.az, citing Haberler.com, reports that this drone has begun to be used in operations against US military targets.
It is reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran has used the "Hadid-110" jet-powered drone for the first time in attacks on US military bases in the region.
According to Iranian media, this drone is considered a more advanced version of the previously used "Shahed-136" model.
According to the information, the "Hadid-110" is equipped with a turbojet engine and can reach a speed of approximately 510 kilometers per hour. With a delta wing design, this drone is considered one of the fastest unmanned aerial vehicles in Iran's arsenal.
Military analysts state that the drone is mainly designed to overcome air defense systems. According to them, compared to previous models, its higher speed and lower radar visibility increase the likelihood of reaching the target.
Technically, the "Shahed-136" drone has a speed of about 180 kilometers per hour and is selected for an approximate flight range of 2000 kilometers. Although the "Hadid-110" is faster, its flight range is around 350–400 kilometers, and it can stay in the air for about an hour. For this reason, it is said to be designed more for faster and tactical operations.
The "Hadid-110" drone was first introduced in February 2025 and tested in international military exercises. Iranian media reports that with recent attacks, the drone has been used for the first time in actual operational conditions.
US officials reportedly stated in a closed meeting that Iranian-made drones pose a serious threat in the region and that existing air defense systems may have difficulty fully neutralizing them in some cases.
