Medianews.az reports that the team coached by Valdas Dambrauskas hosted Wales' TNS team in the first leg of the tournament's first qualifying round.
The match held at the "Bank Respublika Arena" in Masazir ended with the victory of the Azerbaijani representative - 2:0.
Velko Simič scored in the 66th minute, Kahim Parris in the 84th minute.
It should be recalled that the return match between the sides will take place in Wales on July 14.
