On the first day of the US-Israel-Iran war, one of the missiles fired by Iran landed near the area where 6 residences belonging to the Heydarovs are located.
Medianews.az citing AFN.az reports that investigative journalist Javanshir Hasanli wrote this. He stated that in response to the US and Israeli bombings, Iran fired rockets at Dubai on February 28:
"One of the missiles was fired at the artificial island 'Palm Jumeirah.' In that area, there are 6 residences belonging to Nicat and Tale Heydarov, sons of Azerbaijan’s Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov, valued at 30 million dollars before the war. The missile strike caused significant destruction in the area. Its traces are clearly visible on Google Maps as well. The impact of the strike was so strong that it damaged surrounding buildings, including at least 2 residences belonging to the Heydarovs, breaking their windows. The local government’s media office confirmed that 4 people were injured during the missile strike on the artificial island."
A few kilometers away from the missile strike area on the island is the "Sofitel The Palm Resort & Spa" hotel owned by the Heydarovs. According to the information, the hotel did not suffer any damage.
On the day Iran struck Palm Jumeirah, Nicat Heydarov was in Dubai and was immediately evacuated to Azerbaijan via Turkey.
