The commanders instructed the soldiers to keep air defense systems ready and to reinforce their positions.
An Iranian general stated that the safety of the civilian population should be a priority and ordered roads to be controlled and directed to ensure they would not be harmed.
It was also noted that US aerial vehicles are claimed to be escorted by fighter jets, one of which was reportedly shot down while another was targeted.
The command announced that during the operation strict orders were given, decisive measures would be taken in armed confrontations, and intensive fire was opened against military targets.
