“According to meteorological forecasts, in the coming days, rainy and unfavorable weather conditions are expected in some areas of our country. This situation may cause increased slipperiness on the roads, reduced visibility distance, and additional risks during movement.”
Medianews.az reports that this was stated in the appeal by the Baku City State Traffic Police Department (BDYPİ).
The Chief State Traffic Police once again advised drivers and pedestrians to be cautious.
“We kindly ask drivers to adjust their speed according to road and weather conditions, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, avoid sudden maneuvers and harsh braking, pay special attention to the proper functioning of lighting systems during rain, fog, or snow, and refrain from risky overtaking maneuvers unless necessary,” the agency stated.
Pedestrians were advised to cross the road only at designated places, properly evaluate the distance and speed of vehicles before starting to move, and be more careful in dark and low-visibility weather conditions.
