The first days of May in Azerbaijan are noted for unstable weather conditions.
According to the National Hydrometeorology Service, temperature fluctuations and strong winds are expected in the capital Baku and the Absheron Peninsula over the next three days. Today in Baku, the daytime temperature is 18°C, while tomorrow, May 3, it is forecasted to sharply drop to 13°C. Currently, the wind blowing from the south at a speed of 13 mph is expected to shift direction to the north and strengthen tomorrow.
A similar situation will be observed in the country's regions. Although temperatures are expected to rise up to 24°C in some areas, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in mountainous regions. The "yellow warning" issued for Baku indicates that the wind speed will reach up to 20 meters per second at times. Residents are advised to be cautious near tall trees and temporary structures. From Monday onwards, the temperature is expected to gradually rise again, but variable cloudy weather will prevail.
