“Turkey is working with serious efforts to achieve peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.”
Medianews.az reports, citing Telegraph, that this was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
“We have a border with the South Caucasus; the wars and disorder there also affect us. Therefore, we have very serious efforts towards ensuring order and security in the region, with a security system. From measured use of force to quality diplomacy in achieving peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, we strive hard to maintain the balance among regional countries and global powers so that any hot conflict there does not affect Turkey,” the minister said.
Hakan Fidan added that just like in the Middle East, South Caucasus, Black Sea, and Mediterranean, the security of Europe is also a strategic issue for Turkey.
