Famous singer Hadise became the target of criticism on social media for portraying Turkey as a country in need of aid in a video she prepared in collaboration with UNICEF (the UN Children's Fund) for the month of Ramadan.
According to Medianews.az, Hadise quickly deleted the video and ended her cooperation with UNICEF.
She announced that she has initiated legal proceedings against the baseless accusations circulated.
Regarding the matter, her lawyer stated that some social media accounts conducted a lynching campaign by spreading statements not related to Hadise.
The lawyer noted that the allegations concerning Hadise's taxes and company activities are completely unfounded and that her personal rights are being violated. Hadise emphasized that she will continue her art and fight legally against systematic lies, slander, and hate campaigns.
