In the first quarter of 2026, 77 percent of Georgia's foreign trade turnover accounted for 10 countries.
Medianews.az, citing the National Statistics Service, reports that Turkey is leading among the main trade partners. Russia, China, the USA, and Azerbaijan also rank in the top five.
The remaining partners are ranked as follows: Germany, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria.
According to the official statement, trade turnover amounting to 5 billion 862.1 million dollars was recorded during January-March. This is a 0.1 percent increase compared to the first quarter of 2025.
It is reported that exports increased by 23.3 percent, imports decreased by 7.2 percent, noting that imports exceeded exports by 2 billion 414.7 million dollars.
