The National Statistics Service of Georgia has released a foreign trade report.
Medianews.az reports that, according to the official statement, trade turnover amounted to 8.1 billion dollars in the period from January to April. This is 1.7 percent more compared to the same period in 2025.
It is reported that exports increased by 21.1 percent, imports decreased by 4.9 percent, and it is noted that imports exceeded exports by 3.2 billion dollars.
The negative balance in foreign trade was shown as 9.5 billion dollars in 2023, 10.3 billion dollars in 2024, and 11.3 billion dollars in 2025.
