Is the explosion on the Sun a danger for the Earth?

A strong class X flare was observed on the Sun.

Milli.Az reports that the information was released by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

According to the laboratory's statement, the flare reached its peak point at 03:57 Baku time and occurred in the Sun's active region number 4366. During the flare, this region was located about 35 degrees away from the Sun-Earth line.

Astronomers emphasized that there is no direct impact expected on Earth from this location. Whether there are any side effects will only be clarified a few hours later.

The report states that this event ranks third in power during the current solar cycle.

It should be noted that on February 1, a high-class flare also occurred on the Sun. At that time, the peak point of the event was recorded at 15:33 Baku time. According to the laboratory's explanation, it is possible for strong events to occur again in the coming days. It was also emphasized that this flare is not expected to have a significant impact on Earth because the active region is located off the Sun-Earth line.
