Doctors say that some symptoms after a tick bite may indicate serious infections.
Medianews.az reports that American infectious disease specialist Thomas Russo spoke about this.
According to him, the condition should be closely monitored for approximately 30 days after the bite. The most characteristic symptom is a rash that appears on the skin and spreads from the site of the bite.
In addition, fever, severe weakness, headache, muscle and joint pains may also be observed. In some cases, swelling and tenderness in the joints occur.
The doctor also notes that some patients may develop intolerance to red meat and dairy products. This may be related to alpha-gal syndrome, a rare but dangerous condition associated with tick bites.
Experts recommend consulting a doctor immediately if such symptoms appear.
