Attention Gemini users!

Google has made significant changes to the usage limits of its artificial intelligence platform Gemini. Now, instead of a fixed message count, the complexity of operations and the load they place on the system are taken into account.

Demokrat.az reports that the technology giant no longer counts how many commands a user issues, but rather how much computational power each command requires. According to the new system, the limits for a person writing short text will not be depleted in the same way as for someone analyzing large files or creating images or videos.

Analyses indicate that the new rules implemented on the platform directly impact heavy tools such as "Deep Research," image and video production, as well as extensive thinking modes ("Deep Think"). According to information on Google's support page, users will receive in-app warnings as they approach their limit.

The limits on paid packages are significantly higher compared to the standard version. "Google AI Plus" users have twice the standard limit, "Google AI Pro" users four times, and "Google AI Ultra" users 20 times more operation capacity. For example, while the basic version provides limited access to the "Gemini 3.1 Pro" model, the "Plus" package allows 30 commands per day, the "Pro" package allows 100, and the "Ultra" package permits 500 commands daily.

There are also substantial differences on the video production side. The basic version does not have the video creation function. "Plus" and "Pro" users can create 2 and 3 videos per day respectively using the "Veo 3.1 Lite" tool, while "Ultra" users can prepare 5 videos daily with "Veo 3.1 Pro." The context window size also varies. For the free package, this indicator is 32,000 tokens, 128,000 tokens in the "Plus" version, and 1 million tokens in the higher packages.
