Numerous Caspian seals' corpses have been discovered on the shores of Kazakhstan's Mangystau region along the Caspian Sea.
Medianews.az reports that this information was released by the Press Service of the region's Ecology Department.
It was stated that during monitoring conducted along the coastal strip from the city of Fort-Shevchenko in the Tupkaragan district to Bautino cape, 35 Caspian seal corpses were found.
Water samples were taken from the area to determine the cause of death.
It should be noted that in the past month, 300 seal corpses have been discovered along the shores of the Caspian in Mangystau region. Previously taken samples did not detect pollutants in the water nor any diseases in the animals.
