The Ministry of Emergency Situations regarding unstable weather conditions addressing the population

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has made an appeal to the public regarding the expected windy and unstable weather conditions in some areas.

According to Medianews.az, the appeal stated that, according to the information from the National Hydrometeorology Service, in the coming days, intense rainfalls are expected in some places, short-term flash floods in some mountain rivers, lightning strikes, and intermittently strong winds are forecasted.

Considering the above, the Ministry of Emergency Situations once again reminds the relevant safety rules. It is recommended to stay away from light constructions and temporary buildings, buildings and advertising boards during strong winds, and not to stand under electric poles and wires, or tall trees.

In addition, taking into account the difficulties caused by strong winds in extinguishing ongoing fires, fire safety rules should be strictly followed in windy weather conditions. Also, small vessel users should note that going out to sea is forbidden in such weather conditions.

Also, to protect against floods and flash floods that may be caused by intense rains, it is recommended to stay away from flood-prone and flash flood-dangerous areas and, in case of facing this danger, to immediately climb to the nearest high ground: "At the same time, to protect against lightning-related dangers, disconnect electrical devices from the network, do not talk on the phone (landline, mobile, payphone, etc.), do not approach power lines, lightning conductors, masts and antennas when outdoors, do not take shelter under tall trees and for this purpose, choose relatively low-lying places; if in a car, stop the movement, roll up the windows and wait for the lightning to stop.

Remember: Negligence of the rules is a danger to our lives!

In case of danger, call 112!"
