A hidden danger at home: With every breath, the lungs can be damaged.

Many factors that go unnoticed in daily life can harm lung health.

According to Medianews.az, Turkish specialist Melahat Bekir Külah stated that cigarette smoke, dirty air conditioners, drying clothes indoors, and chemical cleaners can cause serious damage to the lungs.

According to the doctor's words, cigarette smoke increases the risk of developing diseases such as asthma and COPD in both active and passive forms. Failure to clean air conditioners on time and poor ventilation also cause respiratory problems.

Drying clothes indoors increases humidity and creates conditions for mold formation. This affects the lungs through the respiratory tract and can lead to infections. Uncontrolled use of strong chemicals can also worsen the condition, especially in patients with allergies and asthma.

The specialist also stated that insufficient water intake and physical inactivity weaken lung health. Daily light physical activity and proper humidity balance help protect the respiratory system.
