The head of the Intelligence Service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran, General Majid Khadami, has been killed.
According to the information announced on April 6, Majid Khadami was killed during an airstrike carried out by Israel.
Medianews.az reports that Majid Khadami led the information protection organization of the Iranian Ministry of Defense from 2018 to 2022.
Later, he served as the head of the IRGC's information protection organization.
In the summer of 2025, he was appointed head of the IRGC's Intelligence Service.
In some sources, his surname is also written as Hosseini. However, official information primarily uses the surname Khadami. The public does not know exactly what the general's real surname is.
Majid Khadami was appointed to the position of head of the IRGC's Intelligence Service by the country's supreme leader Ali Khamenei. In this position, in June 2025, he replaced Mohammad Kazemi, who died during the 12-day war with Israel.
On February 28, 2026, Israel and the US began a new war against Iran. On the first day of the war, Ali Khamenei was also killed. Shortly after, his son Mojtaba Khamenei was selected as the country's supreme leader.
