Erdoğan invited the President of Uzbekistan to COP31.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke on the phone with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Medianews.az reports that the Turkish Presidential Administration released information about this.

It was stated that during the phone conversation, Turkey-Uzbekistan bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues, were discussed.

Erdoğan emphasized that cooperation between the two countries is deepening day by day.

The Turkish President stated that he plans to visit Uzbekistan at the earliest opportunity and expressed hope that the meetings to be held within the framework of this visit will contribute to maintaining the current dynamic in bilateral relations.

Erdoğan recalled that important decisions were made at the unofficial Summit of the Turkic States Organization held in Turkistan in May to strengthen the "Family Assembly."

He stated that these decisions are aimed to be further advanced at the Turkic States Organization Summit to be held in Ankara on October 29-30.

During the conversation, the Turkish President invited Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the 31st session (COP31) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties, to be held in Antalya on November 11-12, and also congratulated him on his birthday.
