How much more expensive is our oil compared to what was envisaged in the budget?

On July 24, the barrel of Azerbaijani oil under the "AzeriLight" brand was priced at $109.01.

Medianews.az reports that this is $44.01 higher than the price envisaged in Azerbaijan's 2026 budget.

In this year's state budget, the price of one barrel of oil was set at $65.

"AzeriLight" began the year at $65.71 in January, $69.72 in February, $79.60 in March, $132.35 in April, $122.26 in May, $104.58 in June, and $75.34 in July.

The oil market has been fluctuating since February 28 due to tensions around Iran.

The international coalition of exporters has set Azerbaijan’s daily crude oil production quota at 551 thousand barrels.

In the first half of 2026, 13.3 million tons of oil, including condensate, were extracted in Azerbaijan, and crude oil and crude oil products worth 6.2 billion dollars were exported abroad.
