Mass drone attack on Saint Petersburg and Leningrad region - VIDEO

The city of Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad region of Russia have been subjected to a mass drone attack, resulting in three people being injured.

Medianews.az reports that Alexander Drozdenko, the governor of the Leningrad region, confirmed that a strong fire broke out at one of the "Wildberries" warehouses located in Novosaratovka village of the Vsevolozhsk district. Three people were injured as a result of the fire. The injured were hospitalized.

After the attack, the "Wildberries" company temporarily suspended the operation of two logistics complexes located in the Shushary settlement of Saint Petersburg and the Utkina Zavod industrial zone.

Another drone struck the warehouse of the "Severnaya" poultry farm in the Sinyavino settlement of the Kirov district in the Leningrad region. The warehouse was damaged. According to preliminary information, no one was injured in this attack in the Kirov district.

Alexander Beglov, the governor of Saint Petersburg, stated that civilian infrastructure facilities located on Moskovskoye highway were also hit.

During the night, a total of 59 drones were shot down over Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad region. Of these, 50 were destroyed within the territory of the Leningrad region.

Due to the drone threat, flight restrictions have been imposed at 10 airports in Russia. The restrictions covered the airports of Bugulma, Nizhnekamsk, Cheboksary, Kazan, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Saratov, Penza, and Pskov.

The Pulkovo airport in Saint Petersburg also did not accept airplanes or allow flights for a certain period.
