New signs have been installed on the 129 km section of the M-1 Baku-Quba-Russian Federation state border toll road starting from the H.Z.Tağıyev settlement.

Medianews.az reports, referring to "Qafqazinfo," that journalist Elkhan Yusifli shared this information.

It has been noted that signs indicating a speed limit of 130 kilometers per hour for vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons have been installed on the toll road. This also shows that drivers can now comply with the requirement of this sign.

It should be noted that the change has been reflected in the "Law on Road Traffic" and "Law on Motor Roads". According to the project, on toll highways, a speed limit of no more than 130 kilometers per hour is set for passenger cars and cargo vehicles with a permitted maximum mass not exceeding 3.5 tons.

For other buses, passenger cars towing trailers, and cargo vehicles with a permitted maximum mass exceeding 3.5 tons, the speed limit on toll roads should not exceed 90 kilometers per hour.

Let us remind you that this is the first time a speed limit of 130 kilometers per hour has been set on roads in Azerbaijan.
