In response to the question, the military expert stated that weapons are purchased according to the needs of the army: “In any case, the Azerbaijani side will conduct research and calculate what is primarily needed in the army. Therefore, it is difficult to speculate about this in advance. Generally speaking, it can be said that currently Azerbaijan has adopted the path of further improving air defense systems. Therefore, the first thing that comes to mind is air defense systems. Later, various artillery units, howitzers, electronic warfare tools, radars, shells – all these are possible options.
Additionally, it appears that Azerbaijan intends to renew its naval forces as well. Azerbaijan’s meetings with military navy commanders from several countries, including Pakistan, indicate that our country is determined to update its naval forces.
It is possible that agreements in this direction will be reached with official British institutions or individual companies. Azerbaijan buys weapons from many countries. Turkey, Russia, Israel, Pakistan, China, Czech Republic and others can be mentioned. The likelihood of Great Britain joining this list is, of course, present.”
