A search was conducted at the house of Elnur Seyidov, the brother-in-law of AXCP chairman Ali Karimli.

Medianews.az reports that AXCP activists spread the news on the evening of December 4.

The information states that the search was carried out by employees of the State Security Service (DTX), who took Elnur Seyidov's phone with them.

Ali Karimli was detained during an operation conducted by the DTX on November 29. On December 1, the Sabail District Court decided to impose a pre-trial detention of 2 months and 15 days on him.

Currently held in the DTX investigation detention facility, the AXCP chairman is accused of actions aimed at forcibly seizing power or forcibly retaining power, as well as forcibly changing the constitutional order of the state, which is against the constitution (Article 278.1 of the Criminal Code).

On the same day Ali Karimli was detained, AXCP chairman's advisor Mammad Ibrahim was also arrested and subjected to the same pre-trial detention of 2 months and 15 days and charged under Article 278.1 of the Criminal Code.

The detention of both individuals was carried out within the scope of the investigation of the criminal case initiated against former head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev, who has been under house arrest since October 14 and is accused of attempting to forcibly seize power, treason against the state, and legalization of a large amount of property obtained by criminal means (Articles 278.1, 274, and 193-1.3.2 of the Criminal Code).
