As of October 1, 2025, the population of Azerbaijan has reached 10 million 253 thousand 647 people.
According to the report of the State Statistical Committee, from January to September, 72,210 births, 44,409 deaths, 36,332 marriages, and 15,480 divorces were registered; 2,521 people came to Azerbaijan for permanent residence, and 1,564 people left the country.
Medianews.az reports that compared to the third quarter of 2024, births decreased by 6.9 percent, marriages by 2.1 percent, divorces by 4.8 percent, and deaths increased by 1.8 percent.
