"Some products quickly damage the dental filling."
Medianews.az reports that this was said by therapist Nəzir Maqomedov.
According to him, hard foods such as nuts, shelled seeds, rusk, and caramel create excessive load on the filling and can cause microcracks, which ultimately lead to detachments.
The doctor added that sticky candies and toffees can pull the filling and move it out of place. Acidic products such as carbonated drinks, sour juices, and vinegar weaken both the enamel and the material of the filling. Sugary foods cause secondary caries at the edges and necessitate the replacement of the filling.
