On May 17, the State Examination Center (SEC) will conduct the next exams at the general (9-year) secondary education level.
Medianews.az reports that the SEC has issued a statement regarding this.
It was stated that on May 17, 2026:
1. Admission exam for secondary specialized educational institutions for graduates of previous years;
2. Additional foreign language exam for current year graduates who wish to participate in a language different from the foreign language they took in the graduation exam;
3. Additional instruction language exam for current year graduates who wish to participate in a language different from the language of instruction they took in the graduation exam;
4. Graduation exam for current 9th-grade students who could not attend the April graduation exams for various reasons and applied to the Center;
5. Graduation exam for those wishing to participate in the final attestation for the 9th grade externally;
6. Graduation exam for 9th-grade graduates of previous years who could not participate in the graduation exams for various reasons and have applied to the Center is planned.
Persons participating in the exams can print and bring their "Admission ticket to the exam" from the SEC website.
The exams start at 10:00 a.m.
15 minutes before the process begins - at 09:45 a.m., the admission regime ends. Participants arriving after that time are not allowed into the exam building.
To allow participants to enter the exam building comfortably, different arrival times have been set, which are indicated on each participant’s admission ticket. Therefore, it is recommended to arrive at the exam building at the time noted on the admission ticket.
Applicants (students) must bring the following documents to the exam:
- Admission ticket to the exam;
- Original identity document:
a) For citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan (including participants under 16 years old) - identity card;
b) For foreigners and stateless persons - permits issued by the State Migration Service, and for foreign nationals granted refugee status and their family members, refugee certificates;
- Participants who do not have a photograph on their identity card must also bring a certificate issued by the educational institution with an attached photograph (a 3x4 cm photo of the participant is affixed to the certificate and validated with a seal).
It is planned that 7,014 people will participate in the exams. Also, 42 students with disabilities (visually impaired, cerebral palsy, hearing impaired, and others) will participate. To facilitate comfortable exam conditions for these students, special rooms have been allocated in the exam buildings, and individual supervisors have been appointed for persons diagnosed with 81-100% visual impairment.
In total, 33 general exam managers, 92 exam managers, 699 supervisors, 94 admission regime staff, and 33 building representatives have been assigned to manage the exams.
The exams will be organized in 13 cities and districts - Baku, Sheki, Lankaran, Ganja, Sumgayit, Mingachevir, Shirvan cities; Absheron, Shamkir, Barda, Goychay, Quba districts, and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, with the participation of 7,014 people planned.
