At the National Assembly meeting on December 9, the 2026 budget package was adopted at the final reading.
The state budget anticipates revenues of 38 billion 609 million manat and expenditures of 41 billion 703.6 million manat.
Medianews.az reports that the expenditure forecast for defense and national security is 8.7 billion manat, for economic activities 7.8 billion manat, for general public services 5.5 billion manat, for education 5 billion manat, for social protection and social security 4.8 billion manat, for judiciary, law enforcement, and prosecution 3.3 billion manat, for healthcare 2 billion manat, and for agriculture 1.2 billion manat.
The remaining directions are as follows: culture, art, information, physical education, youth policy, and other activities of this kind – 631.6 million manat; environmental protection – 420.1 million manat; housing and communal services – 334.4 million manat.
Expenditures not attributed to the main sections are shown as 1.7 billion manat.
The revenue forecast for the State Social Protection Fund's budget is 8 billion 323.1 million manat, with an expenditure forecast of 8 billion 483 million 70 thousand manat.
In the unemployment insurance fund budget, revenues amount to 238.3 million manat, and expenditures to 266.4 million manat.
The subsistence minimum and the threshold of the needs criterion for 2026 are set at 300 manat.
