Confirmed cases of Ebola fever in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have risen to 2,267, with 893 resulting in death.
These figures were included in the latest report on the situation by the country's government.
The outbreak in the DRC began in May. According to the authorities, this concerns the "Bundibugyo" strain, for which neither a vaccine nor a specific treatment method has yet been developed.
Doctors and government agencies continue to monitor the spread of the infection and take measures to prevent it.
Cases have also been recorded in Uganda, but on July 16 the last patient there was discharged from the hospital, and no new infections have been reported since the end of June./Oxu.Az
