The State Examination Center (SEC) will hold the Azerbaijani language (state language) exam on May 3 within the framework of the graduation exam for 9th and 11th grade students of general education institutions where instruction is conducted in languages other than Azerbaijani. On the same day, the Azerbaijani language (state language) exam will also be held for graduates of previous years who take the university and vocational secondary education admission exam in a language other than Azerbaijani.
It has been reported by SEC to Medianews.az- that a total of 29,182 students (applicants) are expected to participate in the exam (20,580 in Baku, 1,156 in Sumgayit, 1,189 in Absheron, 76 in Nakhchivan, 1,721 in Ganja, 91 in Shamkir, 212 in Tovuz, 211 in Mingachevir, 84 in Yevlakh, 175 in Sheki, 350 in Zaqatala, 231 in Balakan, 191 in Gabala, 188 in Gakh, 235 in Barda, 232 in Goychay, 360 in Shirvan, 362 in Lankaran, 274 in Guba, 597 in Gusar, 667 in Khachmaz).
55 students with disabilities (visually impaired, cerebral palsy, hearing impaired, and others) will also participate in the exam. Special rooms have been allocated for them to take the exam comfortably, and individual supervisors have been assigned for persons determined to be visually impaired with 81-100 percent dysfunction. Facilities have also been arranged for students with mobility restrictions to enter and move within the building and hall. Additionally, special training has been conducted for the supervisors assigned to participants with disabilities.
The exam, organized in 129 buildings across 21 cities and districts, will start at 10:00 AM. The exit regime will end at 09:45 AM. Participants arriving after this time will not be allowed to enter the exam building. It is necessary to arrive at the exam building at the time indicated on the admission ticket. The duration of the exam is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Participants must bring the documents listed below to the exam:
- Exam admission ticket;
- Original identity document.
a) Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan (including students under 16 years of age) must bring their identity card;
b) Foreigners and stateless persons must bring their permits issued by the State Migration Service; foreign nationals granted refugee status and their family members must have their refugee certificates;
- Persons whose identity cards do not contain a photo must bring, in addition to other documents, a certificate issued by the educational institution with a photo attached (a 3x4 cm photo of the student must be attached to the certificate and confirmed with a stamp).
The maximum score participants can achieve this year is 100 points. The result of this exam will be recorded in the student's final attestation document.
For admission to higher or vocational secondary education institutions, applicants will be considered to have received an "acceptable" grade if their score is 50 or higher.
Graduates of previous years taking the university or vocational secondary education admission exam in a language other than Azerbaijani can score up to 30 points in this exam. To be considered "acceptable," the applicant's score must not be less than 15.
