In Britain, the "Epstein operation": The king's brother was arrested.

Andrew, the brother of King Charles III of Great Britain, was arrested on the day he turned 66 – February 19.

Medianews.az reports that the police caught him at Sandringham Palace. Searches were also conducted at Andrew’s homes in Berkshire and Norfolk.

Andrew is suspected of abuse of official powers.

The charge is related to the "Epstein scandal".

It should be recalled that Andrew had a close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, the American financier who was accused of sexual assault and several other serious crimes and died mysteriously while in custody in 2019.

The US Department of Justice released millions of documents, numerous photos, and videos in January of this year, under the name "Epstein case". The materials raised suspicions that Andrew had previously informed Epstein about his trips to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, and passed on some confidential information about Britain’s investment opportunities to Epstein.

According to the indictment, Andrew sent the official reports to Epstein just a few minutes after receiving them.

It is also emphasized that Andrew’s information about investment opportunities in Afghanistan was shared with Epstein.

Among the materials are Andrew’s correspondences with Epstein as well as sexually explicit photos.

Andrew’s connections with Epstein were known even before the US Department of Justice’s January disclosure. For this reason, he renounced the Duke of York title in October 2025, later lost his prince title, and

left his official residence at Windsor Castle.

According to witnesses, police arrived at Andrew’s Sandringham estate on January 19 with six official vehicles.

Police representative Oliver Wright stated that the investigation against Andrew has started after a comprehensive assessment.
