Ban on gasoline export - It is being discussed in Russia.

Within the framework of measures to stabilize the domestic fuel market in Russia, discussions are underway on reinstating the ban on gasoline exports for producers.

State authorities continue to discuss the possibilities of implementing restrictions, but no final decision has been made yet, and there is no consensus. The issue under consideration concerns gasoline, not diesel fuel.

Measures to stabilize the fuel market in Russia will be discussed at a meeting with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, where a decision regarding exports may also be made. Sources emphasize that the ban alone cannot fully resolve the seasonal demand increase issue, but it can be part of a comprehensive set of measures.

Some time ago, Alexander Novak stated the importance of urgent measures to prevent price increases at gas stations and ensure market stability amid the global energy crisis. He noted that currently, a significant increase in global prices of petroleum products is observed./AZERTAC
