Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Ruslan Edelgeriyev, Assistant to the President of Russia and Special Representative of the President for Climate Issues.

It was noted that during the meeting, cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in the field of combating climate change, COP matters, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided information on the experience gained and results achieved by Azerbaijan within the framework of the COP-29 Presidency, as well as close cooperation of the country with Australia, which will carry out the COP-31 Presidency, and the host Turkey.
The meeting also touched upon bilateral cooperation issues regarding the Caspian Sea. In this context, the importance of intensifying the activities of the bilateral Working Group established on the Caspian Sea was emphasized.
Highlighting the importance of protecting the water resources and unique ecosystem of the Caspian Sea, attention was drawn to the significance of implementing innovative technologies, including in the field of agriculture, and carrying out joint projects in this direction.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on other bilateral issues of mutual interest.
