"Barcelona" filed a complaint with UEFA - OFFICIAL

"Barcelona" has filed a complaint with UEFA regarding the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final match against "Atletico" (0:2).

Medianews.az   reports that this information was released by the press service of the Catalonia club.

The Catalonia club is dissatisfied with the decision not to award a penalty for a handball incident involving Atletico defender Mark Pujil in the second half. It is stated that the player touched the ball with his hand after goalkeeper Juan Musso had cleared it in the penalty area.

The Catalonia club believes that this decision was against the rules and directly affected the flow and result of the match. In this regard, "Barcelona" has demanded the initiation of an investigation, access to the referees’ communications, the official acknowledgment of the error if necessary, and the implementation of appropriate measures.

The statement also notes that in recent years, such controversial refereeing decisions in the Champions League have seriously harmed the team and hindered it from competing on equal terms with other clubs.

It should be noted that the return match will take place in Madrid on April 14.//Publika.az
