Only two candidates will compete for the presidency of "Barcelona".
Publika.az reports that the club has released an official statement on this matter.
Only Xuan Laporta and Víktor Font have been able to gather the required number of signatures for candidacy. The minimum threshold for participation in the elections at the Catalan club was set at 2,337 valid signatures. Both individuals have met this requirement.
According to the results of the signature verification process, Laporta submitted 8,170 signatures, of which 7,226 were valid. Font lags behind him: 5,144 submitted signatures, of which 4,440 were valid.
Mark Siria, however, did not meet the required threshold. Although he submitted 2,845 signatures, only 2,247 were deemed valid following verification.
Thus, in the elections to be held on March 15, the battle for the presidency of "Barcelona" will be between Laporta and Font.
