A new dangerous trend in Baku: They prove love with blood and grave soil - VIDEO

Recently, an unusual and somewhat controversial new trend has been gaining wide popularity in social media posts. People are giving accessories, rosaries, and necklaces made from their own hair, blood, and even soil from the graves of deceased loved ones as gifts to prove their loyalty to those they care about.

Medianews.az reports that this was mentioned in a video material by Baku TV.

According to craftsmen who make accessories, interest in this type of orders is quite high. Customers provide their genetic material (hair, blood) and request necklaces or rosaries to be made from them. In some cases, a piece of clothing from deceased persons or grave soil also becomes part of these "gifts." However, this trend is not universally accepted in society.

Famous doctor, Professor Adil Geybulla has warned about the medical dangers created by this procedure. He stated that blood sampling should only be performed in hospital conditions and in a sterile environment:

"The blood sampling procedure must be carried out exclusively in a medical institution because maintaining sterility is a decisive condition here. Blood sampling and its use for any purposes at home is completely unacceptable. Some people’s blood may contain dangerous infections such as Hepatitis or HIV (AIDS). During unprofessional intervention, these viruses can be transmitted both to the person drawing the blood and to those who come into contact with it."

The theologian Tural Irfan touched upon the spiritual side of this trend, emphasizing that it contradicts our religion. He noted that such actions can under no circumstances be an example of love or loyalty:

"These issues contain elements of Satanism, devil-worship, and witchcraft formed under external influences. Spending one's own body parts and biological remnants on such things and deciding on such matters is firmly rejected by our religion. This is not a step that brings happiness to a person and cannot be accepted as proof of anyone’s affection."
